RESUMEN
Kinsey empezó a pensar que Gwen no pudo matar a Libby. De manera que en esa historia había más de un asesino.
Ese mismo día, Kinsey fue a visitar, de nuevo, a Lyle Abernathy (el novio de Libby). Reconoció que estuvo con ella el mismo día en que murió: Lyle fue a visitarla a su casa. Libby estaba enfadada y triste por la muerte de Laurence y Lyle cogió un bote de pastillas que había en el servicio y la dio una para que se tranquilizara. Lyle se marchó de casa, pero pensó que no sería buena idea dejarla sola en su estado, de manera que volvió. Pero para entonces Libby estaba tumbada en el suelo muerta. Kinsey creyó la historia, y descartó la posibilidad de que Lyle matara a Libby intencionadamente.
Garry Steinberg (jefe de Libby) llamó a Kinsey. La empresa donde trabajaba Libby disponía de los datos personales de los clientes de la firma de abogados de Laurence y Scorsoni. Garry tenía la sospecha de que Libby, a través de esos datos, sabía que uno de los dos socios estaba robando dinero, intentó hacer chantaje y por eso la mataron.
Kinsey llamó por teléfono a Ruth (la secretaria de Scorsoni), y ésta le confirmó que Scorsoni mantuvo unas conversaciones telefónicas con Sharon Napier; una de ellas desde la casa de John Power.
Nikki la llamó para decirla que Gwen había sido asesinada. Un coche de color negro la atropelló. Hablaron sobre la carta que Laurence la escribió a la señora Napier. Antes de que fueran socios, Scorsoni fue el abogado de Laurence en el divorcio con Gwen. Para el bien del caso, la carta escrita a la señora Napier no debía ser descubierta por nadie, de manera que Scorsoni se la llevó.
En ese momento Kinsey empezó a sospechar que tal vez el socio que robaba a sus clientes fuera Scorsoni y que fuera él quien tuvo una relación con Libby, no Laurence. Tal vez Libby se dio cuenta de que Scorsoni estaba robando y él copió la manera en que mataron a Laurence para matarla a ella y no delatarle. Hizo creer que Laurence y ella tenían una aventura: dejando las llaves de la casa de ella en el despacho de él, y guardando la carta de la señora Napier en las cosas de Libby.
Posiblemente, Sharon conocía la relación que tenía con Libby y por eso, cuando Scorsoni entró su paradero, la mató antes de que dijera nada. Y tal vez también fuera él quien mató a Gwen ese mismo día.

In the same day, she went to visit Lyle Abernathy (Libby’s boyfriend). He had to admit that he was with Libby the same day when she died: Lyle went to her house; she was angry and sad because Laurence had died. Lyle took a medicine bottle from her bathroom and gave her a capsule; then he went away. But Lyle thought that it wasn’t a good idea to leave her alone, but when he returned, Libby was dead. Kinsey believed him, and she left to suspect Lyle.
Garry Steinberg (Libby’s boss) called Kinsey. The company where Libby worked had the personal data of the clients of Laurence and Scorsoni’s law firm. Garry suspected that Libby discovered that one of them was stealing money, she tried to blackmails him, but he killed her.
Kinsey called Ruth (Scorsoni’s secretary) and she told that Scorsoni had telephone conversation with Sharon; one of them form John Power’s house.
Nikki called Kinsey to tell her that Gwen was assassinated that morning; she was hit by a black car. They talked about the Laurence’s letter. Nikki said that before Laurence and Scorsoni were partners, Scorsoni was Laurence’s lawyer in his divorce. It wasn’t good to the case if somebody discovered the letter written by Laurence to Elizabeth Napier. So Scorsoni took it.
Kinsey started to suspect that Scorsoni was the person who stolen money from the clients and who had an affair with Libby, not Laurence. Maybe Libby discovered he was stealing and he killed her in the same way that Gwen killed Laurence. Scorsoni put the key of Libby’s house in the Laurence’s office, and the letter in Libby’s things, so everyone thought that Laurence and Libby had an affair.
Maybe Sharon knew Scorsoni’s affair with Libby, and when he found where she lived, he killed her before she could say anything to Kinsey. And he was who killed Gwen that morning.
